LADY members from Falmouth Golf Club turned out in large numbers for their annual club day - with one player picking up three gongs.

Despite the weather not being the greatest, plenty still took part in the event which saw the players battle for the Mitchell Trophy.

Coming out on top of the leaderboard was Letitia Rivett-Old who hit a net round of 70, outting her two shots ahead of Theresa Brierley while third place went to Kath Kelly, who scored 74.

Rivett-Old showed her form was not temporary in the afternoon as she won the nine-hole foursomes competition alongside her playing partner Kath Wells after the duo bagged a total of 20 points.

Alongside these competitions, other prizes were also handed with with Rivett-Old again picking up an honour in one of the two nearest to the pin contests, with Jane Barrington picking up the other.

Debi Hall and Nancy Wood won the nearest to the lines, Brenda Arch had the best front nine and Rose Bailey best back nine.

Sue Short was named best venerable vet while winner of the twos was Lynn Innes.
