CREWS ventured out for the final Mylor Chandlery and Rigging Series race of 2015 on Friday.

With the evening also doubling up for the annual Cups Race, there was plenty of excitement on the water.

In E Class, a perfect start was made by John Kulpa on 4Play as he built up a commanding lead, with the gap widening during the race and proving to be enough to claim the win.

The win also helped cement his second place in the series overall, half a point ahead of Mike Regan's Talitha but still behind Aura Beattie, captained by Euan Beattie.

U Class started their race bunched together before separating into two groups tacking to different sides, with Wizard of Clee nudging in front.

Her rivals looked to close the gaps throughout the race using their spinnakers, but Tony Hardman's boat stretched out on the beats to win and claim the series title as well.

Starting in H Class, nine shrimpers heading out with Simon Sugrue's Vagabond leading from the weather mark all the way to the finish.

Claiming the overall title was Michael Wilson onboard Henrietta.

Clive Hoyle won the Q Class race which in turn saw the boat finish third in the series, with Tilly of Mylor, captained by Barry Edgington, topping the scoreboard.
