SENIOR members at Mullion Golf Club went out on the course to contest the annual Bob Sanders Trophy on Sunday.
The championship is always popular and is held in memory of the former club stalwart, whose grandson Sam Bisson is now the junior captain.
There was a misty and damp start to the competition played from white tees and in the medal format, but after a couple of hours the skies brightened giving those going round later with good conditions.
Picking up the prestigious trophy was Phil Dickson who carded a round of 68, with the prize handed over by Bisson and Sanders' wife Rosemary.
He finished one ahead of Roger Jenkins who was awarded the runners-up spot on countback from Tony Bayliss.
It was a day of double delight for Dickson as he was also presented with his prize for the Seniors Winter Knock-out competition, which he won.
