Wendron CC A closed the gap at the top of Division 1 of the West Cornwall Winter Pool League with a
9-0 whitewash for the second week running defeating Helston RBL B.
Helston FC A lost their first 2 singles against Helston RFC A but came back strongly to gain a 6-3 win
while Lizard FC A came back from a 3-2 deficit to defeat the White Hart B team 5-4.
Rob Willey, Paul Willets, Chris Rosevear, Chris Spurrier and Scott Patterson all won for Mullion FC A
in their 7-2 win over the Atlantic Inn A team and the Rodney Inn defeated Godolphin Club B by the
same score.
Godolphin Club A had to fight hard for victory last week against Potters Bar B winning the last 2 doubles
to edge a 5-4 victory and they still have a healthy lead at the top of division 2 and Helston RFC C had a
5-4 win over Helston FC B to occupy second spot.
Godolphin Club E went 2-0 down against Lion & Lamb A but gained a 6-3 win while at the bottom
White Hart C got a much needed 7-2 win over Helston RFC B, singles wins coming from Steve Hoskin,
Spencer Pryor, Nigel Knight and Gary Blake.
The Three Tuns continue to lead division 3 after a 7-2 win over Breage SC but Helston RFC D suffered
a 5-4 defeat against White Hart A despite winning the first 4 frames, Alan Magill and Richard Hosking
started the comeback for the White Hart team.
Lion & Lamb B kept in touch with the leaders defeating the Crown Inn 6-3 and Paris Hotel B gained a
7-2 win over Mounts Bay.
Black Swan B remain top of division 4, they defeated Out of the Blue B 7-2 last week but biggest win
came from Atlantic Inn B who had a 9-0 whitewash over Mullion FC B and they move into second spot.
The Wheel Inn won 5 out of the 6 singles in a 7-2 win over Queens Arms A, the Cowshed Bar had a 6-3
win over Out of the Blue B and wins from Dave Eva, G.Evans, Andrew Ede, Dan Frew and Neil Barku
helped Queens Arms B to a 5-4 win over Lizard Kissoffs.
