MULLION Golf Club has announced Chris Ramsden as their new Head Professional, with Katie Rule as his assistant.

Chris has been working at Mullion for 8 years under the watchful eye of Ian Harris and is well known and respected as a talented, energetic PGA professional.

He started his golfing career as a young green keeper at Budock Vean before progressed through the PGA graduation scheme to then work at Mullion where is has enjoyed his time coaching and supporting golfers throughout the South West of Cornwall.

We are very pleased to welcome Katie Rule, the only lady professional golfer in Cornwall, who has previously worked with Jonathan Lamb at Tehidy GC and is keen to work alongside Chris in this exciting new partnership. A keen sports lady, Katie was the girls under 13 British Table tennis Champion for three years and played five times for England.

She played her first 18 hole competition one month shy of her 13th birthday and was rewarded with a 44 handicap.

Within a year she held a handicap of 4 (an impressive achievement) and participated in the England junior squad.

She was the County Junior Champion and South West Junior Champion, Ladies County and South West medal champion and was a finalist three times in the Ladies County match play championship. Katie has also enjoyed two national second places and represented Cornwall numerous times.

She achieved a +2 handicap before turning Pro and completing her PGA degree at Birmingham university. Everyone at Mullion wish them both the best of luck and support in the future.
