FIVE members of Hayle Runners Junior Club competed for Cornwall in the South West Sportshall competition held last Saturday in Torbay against teams from Avon,Devon,Dorset, Gloucester and Somerset .
Jude Hardy, Holly Jenkin,Eve Penhaligon, Will Sterling and Eve Wilson all played their part in helping the Cornwall teams along with colleagues from Cornwall Athletics Club, Mounts Bay Harriers, Newquay and Par Athletic Club and Tamar Trotters take second place in the boys competition and third place in the girls competition under the supervision of team organiser Mo Pearson.
Hayle Runners Juniors meet at 5-30pm every term time Tuesday at Hayle Community School, High Lanes, Hayle where trained Coaches and Leaders support the young people undertake a range of athletics exercises
