A FALMOUTH superbiker will realise his dream later this year when he competes in the world renowned Isle of Man TT.

Forest Dunn, who suffered a bad accident while racing in Ireland last year, has been accepted having produced a series of impressive performances.

"When I read the email confirming my entry, I was pretty emotional. I didn't know what to do with myself, I had butterflies. To say I'm buzzing is an understatement," said Forest.

He will compete on his Kawasaki ZX10R in three races - the Rl360 Superstock, RST Superbike and PokerStars Senior TT during the two-week event between May 28 and June 10.

It is considered by many to be the most prestigious road race in the world, as well as being the ultimate test for man and machine.

It is an incredible achievement for Forest, who celebrates his 28th birthday on Sunday, having only started racing four years ago.

"I said then that I wanted to race in the Isle of Man before I was 30 and I'm going to do that. I'll be training as hard as I can for the next three months to make sure the bike and me are working together."

Forest will spend a number of days on the island in preparation for his debut as part of the Newcomers programme, where he will learn from the TT rider liaison officers as he prepares to fulfill his lifelong ambition.

He will also seek information from Trevor Nation, the Redruth rider who competed in the Isle of Man TT on several occasions in the 1990s.

He added: "I have a had a few folk behind the scenes making this all happen - Craig at CMR Performance, Infinitus Security, Ward Groupage Newry, LaserMaster, SouthWest Motorcycles, Bennetts Gardens, Barry and Dalina Hughes, SR Electrical, Maen Karne, BMA Carbon and Dynamite Valley Brewing Co."

Forest is still in need of sponsorship, as the cost of tyres is an ongoing expense. Any individual or business interested in supporting him can contact him at forest-dunn@hotmail.co.uk
