For the second consecutive year, the men’s team from Falmouth Road Runners has reigned supreme and retained their title as winners of the Cornwall Multi Terrain Race Series.

The series consists of ten races, varying from a four mile beach race to an eight mile fell race and trail half marathon at Imerys.

The four fastest runners from each of the running clubs count for the team placings and the best six results from the ten races count towards the final score. The Falmouth men’s team achieved six wins in the series – gaining maximum points.

The contributing members from the club were: Tom Carthey, James Barnet, Jason Longhorn, Mark Littlejohns, Jacob Dobson, Robin Watson, Matt Stone and Steve Strachan.

In addition to the team win, Falmouth Road Runners also won a number of individual prizes: Tom Carthey, first Open Men and first under 35 men; Jason Longhorn, third Open Men and first 40-44 Men; James Barnet, third under 35 Men; Robin Watson, third 50-54 Men and Roy Newton, third 65-69 Men.
