Cornwall Athletic Club’s endurance section had cause for celebration recently, with three of the Men’s team selected to represent England in the British Masters Home Countries International race at Tollcross Park, Glasgow next month.

It will be a second successive call up for Godolphin School’s Assistant Head Colin Snook and Justin Thomas, who represented England in the 40-44 age category in Dublin in 2015 and this time they will be joined by training partner Helston farmer Paul Whear, who will be making his England debut in the 45-49 age group.

Club spokesman Alan Rowling added: “Many clubs have one England representative, a few will have two but having three wearing the England vest is an achievement that Cornwall AC is absolutely delighted with and I am sure they will do themselves, the club and their county proud.”
