Carn Brea & Helston Swimming Club have continued their quest for National qualifications with their swimmers competing at the City of Bristol International Open Level 1 Meet.

Eight swimmers travelled up for the weekend of competition and once again came home victorious.

Megan Vingoe successfully achieved Gold in all of her five races including the 800m Free, 400m Free, 400m IM, 200m IM and 200 Free.

An amazing achievement showing her true depth of skill and stamina over mixed distances and strokes.

Turaya Evans also took gold positions in all three of her races, including 200m Back, 100m Back & 50m Back, a true master of this stroke with a great future of swimming ahead of her.

These young ladies are leading the way for our Cornish swimmers at this year’s ASA British Summer Championships to be held in Sheffield.

Congratulations to all our eight swimmers, who between them achieved 33 new long course personal bests and 11 podium positions.
