Camborne Rugby Club's Veterans section went along to Curnow School to present the fantastic sum of £1,700 to a delighted head teacher Gina Briggs and members of the school council.

The cheque for the funds was presented by Kelvin Smitham and Nick Pellowe, representing the vets' committee with the substantial sum set to go towards the purchase of a sensory lighting system at the School.

Over the past season a number of fundraising activities have once again been staged by the Cherry & Whites Veterans and Former Players Association for a variety of worthy causes.

Curnow School has been a major beneficiary of this fundraising whilst the final total donation was further boosted by £500 proceeds from Camborne Rugby Club's successful fourth annual charity dinner staged in June, when former Cornwall skipper Chris Alcock and British Lion Andy Reed were the speakers.
