ST Gluvias were blown away by Murray Workman's 236 not out on Monday as Callington recorded a 260 run victory.

The visiting number four batsman sent balls flying everywhere during his unbeaten knock with a incredible 25 sixes blasted by the South African.

Workman also pummelled 13 fours in the 107 balls he faced in the County Division One clash, with the double ton helping Callington to a total of 397-5 off their 50 overs.

In their reply, the Saints were always facing an uphill challenge and inevitably fell well short of the mammoth target set, finishing 137 all out.

Proceedings looked to be going well for the hosts early on when quick bowler Jack Gleadowe got opener James Long out for a duck five balls into the game.

Wicketkeeper Joe White put on 65 runs alongside Alex Robinson before falling for 29 to Andrew Julian, but then it became the Workman show.

The overseas player attacked the bowlers in cavalier fashion with him and Robinson, who was bowled by Gleadowe for 85, putting on a third wicket partnership of 237.

No one could get Workman out as Julian returned the most economical figures on the day of one for 29 off nine overs while Gleadowe's two scalps topped the wicket taking count.

With expectations of victory gone, the Saints saw early wickets fall with Jake Preston out for nought and Matt Julian for six.

Brothers Richard and Scott Kellow put on their side's biggest partnership of the day with a third wicket stand of 35 before the latter was caught by Tom Hughes off Nathan Lister for 17.

His sibling carried on to top score with 36 before being caught behind off Workman's bowling, with the all-rounder ending with figures of three for 59.

On Saturday, the Saints travelled to Ludgvan and won by 46 runs.

Kellow top scored again with 59 as his side reached 210 before captain Jon Udy's spin bowling took four wickets for 26 and helped get their hosts all out for 164.
