FALMOUTH set up a home quarter-final draw with Troon after a comfortable victory over Premier League newcomers Hayle in the Vinter Cup last night.
Richard Kellow made a splendid 79 and there were good contributions from Stefan Churcher (35no) and Scott Kellow (20) to take the home side to 183-5 from their 20 overs.
Hayle could only reach 138-7 in reply, with Richard Kellow picking up two for 28.
In another all-Premier League clash, Helston were beaten at St Just in a match that had been rescheduled from Tuesday because of fog.
Harry Medhurst took the Helston bowlers apart in his innings of 97, while Kelbert Walters smashed an unbeaten 48 off 27 balls as the hosts reached 197-5.
In reply Helston slumped to 13 for 3 but skipper Dan Jenkin made an excellent 69 to bring some respectability to the score. Ben Rule chipped in with 31 as they finished on 146-9.
Praze were overpowered by Premier League opponents Redruth, who made 161-5 before dismissing the visitors for 46. Harry Bolland returned remarkable figures of four for three from his three overs.
