Helston Cricket Club continued their promotion push in the ECB Cornwall division two west division with a 71-run victory over Leedstown.
Craig Martin was the hero of the day as he hit 162 runs as Helston reached 233-4. In reply Leedstow could only reach 162-9 as Peter Boyd and Dan Jenkin both took three wickets each
Helston 233-4 (C Martin 162, D Jenkin 29; K Knowles 2-41), Leedstown 162-9 (C Bennet 62, J Prior 29; P Boyd 3-31, D Jenkin 3-34). Helston (19 points) beat Leedstown (six) by 71 runs.
