Cornwall scored a memorable victory in the Minor Counties Championship game with Cheshire, at Truro, on Tuesday.
The visitors had been set 363 to win in a minimum of 95 overs.
At tea they were bowled out for 257 with Tom Sharp having taken four wickets and Sam Hockin three. With Shropshire needing a further 218 from 28 overs at Bournemouth Cornwall might well be the clear leaders with two games to play.
On the first day Cornwall were bowled out for 184 but responded well with to bowl the visitors out early on the second morning for 168. Sam Hockin took a career best 7 for 82. In their second innings Cornwall made 348 for 8 declared.
Taylor Williams hit a maiden county century (125no). Matt Robins (60) and Jake Libby (38) put on 98 for the first wicket. Matt Rowe, a late replacement, made 32 and Rob Harrison a hard hit 42 not out.
Result : Cornwall (21pts) beat Cheshire (4pts) by 105 runs.
