Cornwall Ladies travelled to Dauntsey's School (Wiltshire) last week and came back with victory in the South West Region Twenty20 Cup.
Cornwall got off to a fantastic start on day one by posting 141-3 (Rebecca Rowe 42, Hannah Grice 36, Charlotte Phillips 26) against Wiltshire, seeing them to a 27 run victory.
However, it didn't quite click into place for the second match. Despite restricting Buckinghamshire to 93-6 (Ashley Bridges 2-10, Hannah Grice 2-15), the team fell short by 11 runs. Cornwall came back fighting on day two with a convincing 35 run win over Dorset to qualify for the final (Cornwall 95-4, Charlotte Phillips 23, Rebecca Rowe 15).
A first class bowling and fielding display meant Bucks finished on 59 all out in the final (Katie Pearce 3-7, Fern Nicholls 3-15), resulting in a five-
wicket victory for Cornwall. Charlotte Phillips was named Cornwall's player of the tournament.
