It was a good day for St Gluvias Cricket Club on Saturday as both the first team and second team recorded comfortable wins.

J Nesbitt hit a century as St Gluvias firsts set a total of 251-8 in their match with Leedstown. In reply Leedstown could only make 155.

However, it was in the seconds' match, against St Just, where the headlines were made as Matt Ambrose and James Lilly hit a record breaking opening partnership for the club of 299 runs. 

It helped St Gluvias to a total of 380-3. In reply St Just were all out for 170, giving St Gluvias a 210-run victory.

St Gluvias 251-8 (J Nesbitt 104), Leedstown 155 (A Robinson 61, L Bennet 29; D Julian 2-60, M Julian 4-22). St Gluvias (20 points) beat Leedstown (seven) by 96 runs.
