Falmouth Town captain Tom Whipp said he was disappointed with Town's performance against fellow strugglers Liskeard Athletic at Bickland Park on Saturday, despite taking all three points.
Whipp started the game in an advanced midfield role as Town set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Hugh Howlett and Joe Cooper at the back, and combative midfidlers Gary Bell and Ross Pope in front of them.
Town went ahead through Dan Richardson's penalty, before the midfielder added a second soon after.
But Hugh Howlett's bizarre own goal, and a resurgent Liskeard meant the second half was an uncomfortable affair for Town as the rain came down and the pitch cut up.
