SEEING Ed Timmons score for Falmouth Town in his second game back at the club has delighted the club’s boss.

Wayne Hughes brought the 25-year-old back to Bickland Park two weeks ago after he left in November to join South West Peninsula League West side Illogan RBL.

On Saturday against Elburton Villa, Timmons scored Town’s only goal of the game as they drew 1-1.

“It is also pleasing to see a player come back into the squad and make an impact quickly,” Hughes said.

“I also thought Ed had a cracking game on Saturday and it is really rewarding to see him enjoying life on the pitch.

“Ed is a quality player who can do a good job in three or four different positions and he has already shown why we wanted him back with the way he has played in the two games since he returned.

“With everyone who has come into the squad, I have said to them they can have a fresh start here and it is the same with Ed, so I hope he can keep on playing as he is with a clear head.”
