Falmouth Town lost the Carlsberg SW Peninsula League Charity Bowl today (Sunday) against Bodmin Town.
The match is played between the CSWPL premier division champions and the winners of the Throgmorton Cup.
However, last campaign Bodmin won both trophies and as Buckland, the runner's up in the Cornwall Senior Cup, were unable to play in the final, Falmouth one of the losing semi-finalists were invited to take their place.
Former Falmouth player Danny O'Hagan was the main threat for Bodmin. He opened the scoring in the first half, before doubling the lead with a powerful header, from an Ollie Brokenshire corner, in the second half.
Young striker Chris Luxton added a third for Bodmin.
Famouth will start their CSWPL premier division campaign on Saturday when they take on Torpoint at Bickland Park.
