Elburton Villa are top of the Carlsberg SW Peninsula League premier division following the midweek games.

They beat Liskeard 5-2 on Wednesday night.

AFC ST Austell are third after they beat Camelford 1-0 on Wednesday night thanks to a goal from Will Tinsley in the 84th minute.

St Blazey are third, despite losing away at Newquay on Tuesday.

Following on from their 11-0 thrashing of Penzance on Saturday, Blazey found themselves 2-1 at half-time as Newquay's Luke Whelden grabbed a first half brace. Former Falmouth Town midfielder Josh Sims replied for the Saints.

However a soft penalty saw Danny Brooks make it 3-1, before Sims grabbed another goal back.

St Blazey are one of only four teams, in the league to have played two games so far this season. Their defeat meant Collumpton could over-take them at the top of the table, but the mid-Devon side were beaten 3-0 at home to Launceston.

Penzance also lost their second game on the bounce as Saltash thrashed them 9-0.

Sam Hughes grabbed a hat-trick for the Ahes, while Richard Maddison, Gavin Coulton, Oscar Bennetts, Toby Clark, Dimitri Kanaki and Luke Doddridge all scored.

The only other midweek game saw Plymouth Parkway beat Tavistock 4-3.

Ryan Richards grabbed two first half goals to send the Plymouth side into the break with a 2-1 lead. He then completed his hat-trick shortly after the interval and Lance Bailey made it 4-1 by side-footing home.

Tavistock staged a recovery to make it 4-3, but could not find an equaliser.
