Falmouth Town were held to a goalless draw at home to Camelford on Saturday.

In a game of very few chances it was Falmouth who came closest to winning the match when substitute Rob Wearne drilled a 25-yard shot against the post with four minutes to go.

However, neither side created enough in front of goal to deserve the victory. The first half was especially deviod of chances, with only Camelford's Ryan Pooley's angled drive forcing either keeper to make a save.

Falmouth often looked for the long ball up to Andrew Westgarth and Glen Squires, which the Camelford defence dealt with well.

Squires volleyed a shot wide on 52 minutes as Falmouth began the second half the better side.

However, Camelford hit back as Pooley's first time shot from 30-yards forced Chapman into another good one-handed save.

Mark Gusterson then hit a tame shot off target as he received the ball in space on the egde of the area.

The introduction of Wearne seemed to liven Falmouth up in the final ten minutes. Added to his shot against the post, he also glanced a header just wide with two minutes to go.
