Porthleven manager Dennis Annear said it was a 'big learning curve' for his side following their 0-7 defeat at home against Bodmin Town in the second round of this season's Cornwall Senior Cup.
The holders recovered from a slow start to completely dominate the game, going three goals up at the break before running away with it in the second half.
But Annear said his youngsters would bounce back, and remained confident going into the busy Christmas period.
