Mullion 4 RNAS Culdrose 0

Mullion built on their stunning Senior Cup second round victory over Wadebridge with an equally impressive drubbing of Culdrose at home. The win makes it nine games unbeaten in the league for them.

Conversely for Culdrose it was their first defeat in nine.

Dan Jenkin scored the only goal of an entertaining first half, firing in after good link up play between striker Rob Carey and midfielder Stuart Robinson.

After the break Mullion turned the screw, Carey going close with a well-struck volley only for Lee Cattran to pounce on the rebound to smash in the home side's second.

Carey had a goal disallowed for offside before he finally got his name on the scoresheet, latching on to an Alan Thomas pass and sliding a shot past the keeper.

Thomas applied a touch of gloss late on when he nodded in Mullion's fourth from a deep cross to the back post.

Falmouth Town 1 Falmouth Athletic 1

Falmouth Town slipped into the bottom half of the table after being held to a draw at home by Falmouth Athletic.

It was a lacklustre performance from Town, not helped by the miserable weather, with swirling winds making conditions difficult for both sides.

Athletic took the lead midway through the first half when Steve Owen steered a left-footed shot past Town keeper Ethan Fearne.

And despite Marc Rose and Danny Knowles's side pressing hard for an equaliser, Athletic were still in the lead at the break.

They held out until the hour mark when Luke Appleton's through ball picked out Tom Hunt, and he found the back of the net with a fine finish.

Town pushed hard for an equaliser, but found Athletic keeper Harry McMellon in fine form.

Goonhavern 1 Porthleven 0

Christmas came early at Reen Manor Parc, with three points and afirst clean sheet of the season for basement club Goonhavern against fellow strugglers Porthleven.

Just how important those three points will be come April is anyone's guess, but this was a bitter blow for Port.

Goonhavern even had a player sent off, but Port were unable to take advantage of the extra man in the roaring wind and driving rain.

The only goal of the game came ten minutes from time after a mistake at the back saw a headed clearance drop at the feet of Goonhavern debutant Mark Wilson, who made no mistake from eight yards out.

Goonhavern remain anchored to the bottom, but after Troon's 4-0 defeat away at Illogan, they've made up valuable ground on the two teams above them.

Perranwell 1 Ludgvan 6

Ludgvan's demolition of mid-table Perranwell reminded anyone who might have forgottten that the title is far from a three horse race.

They sit fourth in the league, level on points with Wendron albeit having played two more games.

Gary Matthews nodded the visitors into the lead after ten minutes, but they were made to wait until just before the half hour mark for their second, Tom Patrick finishing off a sweeping move started by Jamie Devine with help from Gerens James.

Devine notched up the third, and Ross Badcock's superb solo effort in the 61st minute put them four up.

Mark Richards hammered in a long range effort in the 70th minute, and James added to his frankly intimidating goal tally for the season by bagging the sixth late on.

Perranwell's only goal of the game came from Matt Read.

Hayle 2 St Agnes 2

Hayle and St Agnes slugged their way to a stalemate at Trevassack Park on Saturday which,  given the conditions, was a fair result.

Nick Perry pounced on a loose ball following a Duane Britten corner to put the visitors a goal up.

But in the second half Hayle began to exert pressure and pulled level when Matt Thomas beat Paul Luke in the Hayle goal.

Thomas scored his second of the game to put Hayle in the lead soon after, but St Agnes made sure of a point when James Salisbury found the back of the net following a free kick wide on the left.

Redruth United 7 Penryn Athletic 3

It's easy to forget this is Redruth's first season in the Combination League.

After this resounding victory over Penryn they sit fifth, level on points with both Wendron and Ludgvan.

United scored five goals in the second half to condemn Penryn to defeat and keep them in touch with the leading pack.

Dan McInerney scored from the spot after being brought down in the box, but Penryn equalised when Tom Campbell's corner was deflected into the back of the net.

Ross Symonds drove in Penryn's second soon after, but Ben Beasley popped up with the equaliser for Redruth just before the half time whistle.

Penryn keeper Jamie Gray did well to keep out a Beasley header before Penryn took the lead again when Ryan Reeve ran through from the half way line and slotted in the third.

But Redruth weren't to be denied.

Dean Keating scored twice to hand the advantage back to the home side, before Moha Imichichi score the fifth, Beasley smashed in his second for the sixth, and Morow Sanneh tucked away number seven.

Illogan RBL 4 Troon 0

Troon are in desperate trouble at the foot of the table, just two points above basement club Goonhavern.

This defeat against league champions Illogan, coupled with Goonhavern's victory over Porthleven, will have served only to compound their misery.

Former Penryn Athletic midfielder Matt Roberts did the damage after a goalless first half.

His brace, along with two own goals, condemned Troon to their fifteenth league defeat of the season and left supporters and players alike wondering where their next goal is coming from.

Troon have failed to find the back of the net in 450 minutes of football. Less sleigh bells and more a case of alarm bells for the Grouter Park club going into the Christmas period.

St Ives 2 St Just 2

A game that promised fireworks ended up being more of a damp squib, not helped by high winds and squally rain.

St Ives took the lead after 25 minutes when Ross Duncan waltzed through the home side's defence to thump a shot into the back of the net.

And they extended their lead ten minutes in to the second half when Duncan got on the end of Alex Brown's through ball and beat the keeper with a low shot.

Darren Steadman's corner was headed in by Stuart Nicholls to give the visitors some hope.

And three minutes from time, after a spell of concerted pressure, St Just equalised when Graham Stir was first to react to a defensive error to fire in from just inside the box.
