PLAYERS at a newly formed female football club have been showing off their kit after receiving sponsorship from a local shop.
Mabe Ladies FC established earlier this year and now have a kit to be proud of after getting funding from the Costcutter store in Penryn, run by Ian McCabe whose daughter Anna plays for the team.
Sponsorship has also been received by the side from another shop, Penryn Treasures, who helped pay for equipment, referees fees, hoodies and jackets.
Last Sunday, Mabe played their opening game of the season and won with a spectacular scoreline of 11-0 against RNAS Culdrose.
Among the goals were Beth Hibbs, who grabbed five, along with a brace from Yaina Andrew and strikes from Emma Dwan, Amber Johnson, Kim Milne and Tina Roberts.
Their next match is away at St Breward tomorrow.
