FALMOUTH Town found themselves at the wrong end of a 6-1 hammering away at Bodmin Town on Wednesday night.

It is their seventh defeat in this season's South West Peninsula League campaign and the Ambers still only have one win in the Premier Division.

Bodmin raced to a 4-0 lead at half time thanks to two goals from Darren Hicks and strikes from Adam Carter and Luke Rundle.

The latter added a second after the break before Dan Richardson made it 6-0.

Harry Evans provided some consolation for the away side as he slotted home a penalty.

Elsewhere in Cornwall, Porthleven also suffered a loss at home to Mousehole in the West Division.

Wade Brown scored twice for the visitors in the first half, but each time Port were able to equalise.

However, second half goals from Bradley Wills and Nick Pugliese sent the Fisherman crashing to a 4-2 loss.

It was a slightly better evening for Penryn Athletic, but their 1-1 draw at home to Perranporth means they missed the chance to go top of the West Division table.

Luke Brabyn had put Borough in front before Jason Robertson levelled the game for the visitors.
