WENDRON United manager Paul Murray is expecting a much tougher test on October 18 when his side meet Redruth United.
On Saturday Dron cruised to a 4-1 win in the first round of the Cornwall Senior Cup with goals from Steve Brewer, Jason Roberts, Luke Wort and Justin Miles.
The teams who sit in fifth and sixth places in the Jolly’s Combination League will meet again in ten days time at Clijah Croft.
Murray said he was delighted to progress in the cup at the expense of United, but knows they must not let their guard down when the pair play each other in the league.
He said: “I thought in the first half we played well and the fact we went 3-0 up showed this.
“I am happy we have a weekend in-between the next match against Redruth because they will be like a wounded animal.
“They will want to get points off us to reaffirm their status as a top side and I am fully expecting the game to be a completely different kettle of fish.
“If we went there and came back with a 1-0 win, I would be very happy.”
