FALMOUTH Town's hopes of getting two wins in a row were dashed on Tuesday night as Dan Balsdon scored with just two minutes left for Camelford to ensure the points were shared.

The Ambers had taken the lead in the South West Peninsula League West game at Bickland Park on the stroke of half time when Harry Evans' angled strike made it past the visiting goalkeeper.

Camelford had a big chance to take the lead themselves earlier in the half after winning a penalty, but Kyle Flew blasted his spot kick over the bar.

It appeared Town were going to hold on for the win, on what was Ross Pope's 300th appearance for the club, just three days after coming back from 2-0 down to beat Ashton & Backwell United 3-2 in the FA Vase.

However, Balsdon popped up in the 88th minute to snatch two points away from the hosts and take one home for his side as he got on the end of a long throw in and put the ball past Town's goalie Jason Peters.

John Dent's side remain in 15th place and are not in action again until next Tuesday when they welcome St Blazey to Bickland Park.
