NEW faces are not set to come into Helston Athletic’s squad despite the recent departure of midfielder Charlie Young.

The player informed the Kellaway Park bosses last week he was taking a break from the game before deciding on whether to join another club.

It is unclear currently where Young, who has put in a number of good performance for the Blues in this campaign, will go.

But Athletic’s manager Sid Taylor said he will not be looking for a replacement just yet.

Taylor told the Packet: “Charlie has decided to step aside from the club for now, which is sad as he has been a top player for us this season.

“I spoke to him about it and did as much as I could to try and keep him here, but I think he has a few problems to sort out.

“I think there’s been a few words said in the squad lately and I don’t think Charlie wanted to fall out with his mates.

“He will be missed, but at the moment I’m going to hold back on looking for a replacement.

“We have guys like Jordan Adlard on the sidelines who can step in and I’m going to wait until January to decide on any transfers I want to bring in, which will most likely be a midfielder and a defender.”
