ST Dennis have had three players suspended for a combined total of 18 games following an incident at the end of their game with Penryn Athletic on February 21, the Packet understands.

Cornwall FA officials have slapped Lee Rickard with an eight game ban, Brett Andrew four games and a third team member a six match suspension.

It comes after Athletic's linesman Tom Blewett was subjected to what has been described as "low and vile" abuse towards the end of their South West Peninsula League clash last month.

The match at Boscowan Park finished 1-1, but emotions boiled over as Ryan Hayhurst saw a goal in injury time disallowed for offside, leading to the abuse being dished out.

During the evening following the game, Rickard took to his Twitter profile where he is alleged to have posted more abuse towards Blewett.

St Dennis have been given a week to respond to the the verdict, which was decided during a meeting last night in Plymouth.
