SID Taylor said Charlie Young's return to Helston Athletic shows how important it is to leave a club on good terms.

The midfielder made a surprise return to the Blues having signed for St Austell in June and featured in the Kellaway Park-outfit's 3-1 defeat at home to Bodmin Town on Saturday.

Lillywhites boss Phil Lafferty waived the seven day approach put in for Young by his old club, leaving him free to rejoin the South West Peninsula League Premier side.

"I'm delighted to have Charlie back," Taylor said.

"He left us on good terms and it is a good lesson to other footballers about the virtues of leaving on good terms.

"Things didn't work out for Charlie at St Austell and because of the way we left things, it was easy for him to come back into the side and it is superb to have him back."
