ANDREW Westgarth is looking forward to Falmouth Town's 2015/16 season starting on Saturday - even though he will not be there.
The newly installed player-manager at Bickland Park will not be available for selection for the game at home to Elburton Villa in the South West Peninsula League Premier as he is going on a friend's stag do in Ibiza.
Town will also be without Tom Whipp, who is also on holiday, and Connor Rhodes after he picked up an injury recently.
"I am gutted I cannot be there on Saturday," Westgarth admitted.
"But I will have my phone glued to my ear the whole time and I'm excited at our prospects for the season."
Assistant manager Gary Pascoe will be charge of their opening match of the season.
On Sunday, the Ambers finished their pre-season calendar by winning the Dave Gardner Trophy.
