BOTH Tom and Jordan Annear have said they are looking forward to stepping up to the South West Peninsula League Premier with Newquay.

As revealed first on Twitter by Packet Sport on Monday, the brothers have agreed deals with the Peppermints for the 2015/16 season which will see them move from Porthleven.

The siblings join their new club just over a month after their father Dennis stood down as manager at Gala Parc.

Last season, Jordan, the younger of the pair, was the SWPL West's fourth leading marksman with 31 goals, but said he is not putting too much pressure on himself before the new campaign starts.

"I haven't really thought about targets to be honest," the 18-year-old said.

"Obviously the standard is going to increase, so I will need to think about that and go from there.

"I will probably just look to play as much as I can and hopefully from there the goals will follow."

His 22-year-old brother said deciding to leave the Fishermen after nearly three years there was a tough choice to make, but he is excited by the move to Mount Wise.

Last season's Port captain also admitted he is pleased to be staying in the same side as his relative.

Tom said: "It was very hard to leave and we had a number of clubs after us in both the West and Premier Divisions, which is a great honour for both of us.

"Porthleven is a great club which is well run from top to bottom and I will always keep an eye out for them and watch as many games as I can.

"I wouldn't ever want to play against Jordan as he is hard working striker who is every defender's nightmare and I hope he can keep progressing as much as he did last year."

Jordan added: "It was quite hard to move away from Port as I've been there for almost three years and it was where I started my senior football.

"I've developed a really good bond with all the boys there, but Newquay seemed like a good club to move to."
