PENDEEN are the new leaders of the Falmouth-Helston League division one after they took advantage of Falmouth Albion’s inactivity to move three points clear at the top.

They beat struggling Camborne Park 2-1, while Albion’s home match with Perranwell was called off.

The only other division one game that got the go-ahead saw St Keverne record an impressive 11-0 win over Troon. The goals coming from Andrew Charleston (5), Jonathan Smith (4), Daniel Peters and Joey Mitchell.

They beat Penryn fourths 6-1 thanks to goals from Lee Dark (2), Alex Arquati, Sonny Mather, Luke Brown and Craig Barclay. It is now 10 wins out of 10 for Perranporth, but they are not the only team in the division with a 100 per cent record.

While the division’s other matches ended in a 6-0 away win for St Day Reserves, at Hayle thirds, and a 3-2 away win for Frogpool/Cusgarne at Porthleven Rangers. Port’s goals coming from Gavin Perraton and Frogpool’s strikes from James Martin (2) and Neil Carter.

In division three, Cury closed on leaders St Day thirds with a 3-1 win at Frogpool/Cusgarne Reserves thanks to goals from Joe Bray (2) and Mark Buchannon.
