MEN and women got their clubs out at Mullion Golf Club on a calm and dry day to play for the Millennium Trophy, writes Tom Suddes.

The competition where sees golfers of both sexes compete for the same prize, with the ladies receiving three shots to reflect the difference in standard scratch.

With over a quarter of the field scoring below par this emphasized a day of good golf from the competitors.

The winner on countback with a faultless round of 64 was Will Ancell, pictured below with Ian Stanley, who nudged Andy Pengelly into second place.

Third place went to Jenny King with a 65 and Thomas Hillier fourth with a 66, beating Pete Mackley on countback.
