GOLF: Sands putter played for at golf course
MIKE Hawke-Treneer took home the Men’s Praa Sands Putter Trophy last Sunday.
He carded a fine score of 44 at the course to win the competition by three points ahead of Roy Hillyar.
Saturday saw club members play for the Texas Scramble Trophy and the winning trio were Alison Jacka, Mike Jacka and Ray Crebo with a net score of 54.0.
On Wednesday, Jeanne Barker was victorious in the Ladies’ 9-hole Stableford contest with her score of 19 points.
Carole Jones and Anne Griffiths recorded the same totals, but lost out on countback.
