YOUNG players from Falmouth Golf Club brought home silverware after finishing as runners-up in the Cornwall Junior Maxam Cup last Wednesday.
The team have been making good progress under the leadership of the club's junior organiser Bob Pine and confirmed this with the victory at Lanhydrock Golf and Country Club.
The competition was played in foursomes format with conditions on the course being a mixture of drizzle and mist.
Despite the weather making it tough for players, Falmouth's group performed well to end up in second place just a few strokes behind Truro.
