GOLF: Praa Sands duo off to national competition
ANDY Hurrell and Matt Tregenza won the Men’s Daily Mail Foursomes Qualifier at Praa Sands on Sunday.
The duo scored a net total of 57 and will represent the club at next year’s national tournament.
Ray Crebo and Mike Jacka were second with 61 on the last nine holes from Gary Thomas and Andy Holmes in third place.
John and Paul Murrish finished fourth with 63 on the last nine holes from Dave Rollason and Barry Knowles.
The Bunker Cup, contested over nine holes, was played on Saturday morning in blustery conditions.
Tony Semmens performed the best in the wind taking first place with a score of 31.
Scott Willett was second with 36 on countback from Ed Leah.
