Chris Johnston, from Truro Golf Club, is the new Cornwall Junior Champion.
Sixty of the best juniors in the county competed in the County Junior Championships at Newquay Golf Club.
A strong offshore wind and surprisingly warm temperatures made scoring conditions hard but after the morning round Johnston was leading with an excellent 71 giving him a 3 shot lead over fellow county junior team member Adam Taylor (Perranporth) on 74 and Joe Yorke (St Mellion) a further shot back on 75.
In the afternoon Chris added a 74 to his morning 71, for a total of 145, to win the title by four shots from Taylor and Yorke who tied second on 149.
