DOUBLE gold was scored by Penryn College student Mark Pearson at a badminton competition held in Newquay.
The 14-year-old claimed top place in his age group in both the singles and doubles at the Badminton England National Tournament.
His victory comes just a fortnight after fellow college students Sarah Frost and Amy Walker, all three pictured above, won gold in the girls’ doubles, with the latter also finishing first in the singles.
Pearson also recently claimed a bronze medal in a regional tournament held in Somerset alongside his playing partner.
