THE top teams in Division One of the West Cornwall Winter Pool League all had good wins last week.

Wendron CC A lost the first frame against the Rodney Inn A team, but they won every other frame for an 8-1 victory.

They hold onto their five point lead in the table ahead of Helston FC A who defeated Constantine SC by the same score.

Lizard FC A had a 7-2 win over the Boathouse and Godolphin Club F defeated White Hart B by the same score.

Wins from Pete Hall, Paul Finbow and Julian Vandenburgh helped the Rodney Inn B teamto a well needed 5-4 win over Mullion FC A.

Godolphin Club B made the biggest impact in Division Two with a 9-0 whitewash over Helston RFC B to move their way up the table while leaders Wendron CC B went down to a 5-4 defeat to Helston RFC C.

Helston CC finally found some form with a good 7-2 win against Paris A while Helston RBL D moved up the table after a 7-2 win against the Bell Inn A.

Division Three leaders Helston RFC D suffered defeat for the first time this season as wins from Dave Morris, Andy McCormack and Mark Grigor helped Mullion FC B to a 5-4 score line.

Luckily for them, second placed team Five Pilchards also suffered a 5-4 defeat against the Lion & Lamb B team as did third placed Potters Bar B who lost by the same score against the Harbour Inn.

The Mounts Bay had the biggest win with an 8-1 victory over Lizard FC C and there was also a 6-3 victory for Helston FC B.

In Division Four, wins from Rob Andrews, Steve Hill and Andy Brown helped Black Swan B team to a 6-3 win over the Wheel Inn while Out of the Blue B gained a 7-2 win over Red Lion A.

Out of the Blue A were not to be outdone by their B team as they defeated the Seven Stars 7-2 and Paris A won all three doubles to defeat the Queens Arms 5-4.

Atlantic Inn B had a good win against leaders Three Tuns with a 5-4 success.
