WENDRON CC A came out as winners in their top-of-the-table clash in Division One of the West Cornwall Winter Pool League last week.

For the third league game in a row, including last season, the cricketers defeated Helston FC A 5-4 after being 4-2 down in the singles.

Helston have moved to the top after playing their game on December 22 early against Lizard FC A and winning 7-2.

Godolphin Club F kept in touch with a 7-2 win over Constantine SC but biggest win of the week came from Atlantic Inn A who won 9-0 against the Boathouse.

Rodney Inn B won their derby game against their A team 6-3.

Wendron CC B remain at the top of Division Two despite losing 6-3 to the Angel Hotel and it was a good week for the Angel as they also won 6-3 against the Bell Inn in a game pulled forward from the next week.

Helston RBL B are in second, winning all three doubles in a 6-3 win over White Hart A.

They are level on points with Godolphin Club B who trailed twice against White Hart C but eventually cane out as 5-4 winners.

Tim Oliver, Nigel Reeves, Steve Hunt and Phil Watkins all won for the Lion & Lamb in their 6-3 win over Helston RBL D and there were 5-4 wins for Helston RFC C and Paris A.

Potters Bar B edged out Helston RFC D 5-4 in their top of the table Division Three.

After a poor start to the season, Mullion FC B won 6-3 against Lizard FC C and Godolphin Club A won 5-4 against the Mounts Bay despite only having five players.

The Crown Inn also won 6-3 against Black Swan A.

Paris B had a 6-3 win against Out of the Blue B in Division Four.

Wins from Dan Jeffers, Rich Trewern, Tom Penrose and Jack Williams helped the Queens Arms to a 7-2 win over Potters Bar A.

Out of the Blue A beat Cowshed Bar 6-3 and Wheel Inn had a 5-4 victory over Red Lion A.
