WONDER Woman, Storm Troopers and a werewolf were among those running around the Marazion 10km course recently.

However, this was not the scene of a strange sci-fi horror film, but the running of the Malcolm Date Trophy hosted by Hayle Running Club.

Members, pictured below, tackle the course in fancy dress with handicaps being given depending on individuals’ best 10km times, with head starts given to those with slower personal bests.

The race is held in memory of much-loved runner Malcolm Date and taking home the 2014 trophy was Ellen Bastiani who completed the course in 48:37.

Jordan Morant was awarded the best fancy dress prize for his Storm Trooper outfit.
