EMMA Schuck capped off a great debut year with the Hayle Runners by picking up the club’s Female Runner of the Year award.
She was given the prize at the club’s annual awards night for the leading role she played in helping the women’s team finish second overall in the Cornwall Glass and Glazing Grand Prix series.
In the individual racing side of proceedings, Schuck won the under 35 age category section and came second overall, only behind international runner Emma Stepto.
Charlotte Bennett, the women’s team captain, said: “Emma has had a tremendous year with her running both personally and our team.
“She has got better and better throughout the year and I am sure will have a great 2015.”
During the evening, special recognition was given to Pat Wright who plays a big part volunteering at the club and helping support them and taking pictures during races.
