GYMNASTS from Helston Community College did themselves proud as they won the Under 16s mixed section of the South West Schools’ Milano Team Competition.
The school’s quintet topped the tables in Bideford in what was the first time they had ever participated in the competition.
Each team had to have three pupils complete a floor and vault routine along with a synchronised floor routine featuring up to four gymnasts.
After all the routines were done, Helston’s team finished an impressive 4.15 points ahead of their nearest rivals to bring the crown back to Cornwall.
