FOR the first time since 1925 Cornwall’s shinty team have been crowned English Champions.
The returned from Bristol as champions as they smashed in 39 goals during the tournament to bring the title home again after a 90 year wait.
It was a superb meet for Cornish sides as two more, Camborne School of Mines and Mabe, as they won the Finn Mcouls Cup and Champions Select competitions respectively, which were held at the same time as the national cup.
In the main final, a hat-trick from Jacob Harrell, pictured below, helped the Duchy to victory and was doubly celebrated by the star performer as it was also his birthday.
He also picked up the Finn Mcouls Cup Player of the Tournament trophy for his performances for CSM.
