HELSTON RBL A continued their good form in division one of the West Cornwall Winter Pool League with a 5-4 win over Lizard FC A and after a bad start to the season are now in third spot.
Winners for the Legion were Sean Pickin, Rob Williams and J P Williams.
Wendron CC remain at the top after a 5-4 win against Three Tuns B, six points ahead of Helston FC A who won 6-3 against Godolphin Club E. Bell Inn A won all three doubles in a 6-3 win over Rosudgeon SC.
Constantine SC A top division two after a 7-2 victory over Gweek Inn A, but Helston RBL D are still level on points after a 6-3 win against Helston RFC B. Biggest movers over the last few weeks have been Paris A and the team of Ian Richards, Nick Kemp, Kelkin Pengilly, Chris Pryor, Mike Woodyear and Alan Pengilly all won their singles in a 9-0 whitewash against Helston RBL B. The Bell Inn B team also continued their good run with a 6-3 win over Shooters A.
Game of the week in division three was the top of the table clash between Helston FC C and Godolphin Club D. The Football Club came out on top with a 6-3 victory, Dan Jenkin still remaining unbeaten had two eight ball clearances in his wins.
The Killigrew Inn had to fight hard to maintain their unbeaten record, having to come back from a 4-2 deficit after the singles to win 5-4. Helston FC B helped themselves out further down the table with an 8-1 win over Breage SC. Tim Oliver, Nigel Reeves and Fred Rugg all won in the Lion & Lamb’s 5-4 win over Mounts Bay B and the Queens Arms B team won 6-3 against the Crown Inn.
