The Royal Marines have announced that they will be quitting Carlsberg South West Peninsula League football at the end of the season.
The Royal Marines have been members of the league for four seasons, the first two in the division one east and the latter two in the premier division.
During there membership they have won the east division title in 2009/10 and the charity vase in 2010. They were losing finalists in the Devon Premier Cup in 2010.
The Marines currently sit bottom of the Premier Division table having won just two of their 32 games this season.
It is thought a lack of personal, especially off the field, is the reason for the decision to quit.
