Athletes from Penryn-based Mile High Runners will be taking part in a 24-hour relay in aid of Cancer Research UK on Saturday, August 25.
The runners will use a measured one-mile route on Cliff Road, Falmouth.
Their temporary HQ will be the Falmouth Hotel, who kindly stepped into fill the breach left when original sponsors The Falmouth Beach Hotel suffered their well publicised fire.
This will be the second time this small club has taken on this challenge.
The first time being in 2004 when ten runners covered a total of 210 miles on the old cycle track at the Recreation Ground, in Falmouth.
Thanks to the generosity of the local population they managed to raise a sum of £2,450 for Cancer Research UK.
