Falmouth Road Runner Richard Dalton picked up his first road race win on Sunday when he won the Penwith Radio run.
The 22-year-old, former Falmouth School pupil, completed the five-mile race in 29 minutes and 52 seconds, despite a strong breeze halting his progress in the final two-and-a-half miles.
Speaking about the victory, Richard, said: "I was really pleased with a win after working hard to come back from injury, I couldn't have asked for a better confidence booster."
There was also a good performance from fellow Falmouth Road Runner Tammy Jenkin, who picked third place in the ladies' category.
